Tell us exactly the car you want and we help you buy it at the Japanese auctions: searched weekly, bid to your limit, then shipped and cleared into New Zealand. This is an import service, not a car sale.
What you want, which specification, and the total you want to spend to get it landed in New Zealand. The minimum budget is NZ$20,000. Your NZ$1,000 + GST downpayment starts the search.
The Japanese auctions run from Tuesday to Saturday, and the right car appears when it appears. We search them weekly and send you a shortlist as vehicles that fit come up.
Auction lots do not wait. When a suitable car comes up, we need your reply within the hour to bid on it.
When we find a suitable car, you pay a deposit of 20% of its total estimated FOB price, the same day, by bank transfer. We hold accounts with all the major New Zealand banks. We bid to your limit and no further. The deposit is refunded ONLY if we do not win the car. If we win it, the deposit is not refundable: it goes towards the price.
Win it and we arrange the freight, customs and tax to get it to New Zealand. The balance is due when the car arrives. Compliance and on-road costs are a separate service: see below.
our service fee
downpayment to start
Your fee is confirmed in writing before you commit to any bid. You will never find out what this costs after the fact.
Paid online when you place your request, so we can start the search. It is non-refundable, and it comes off our 7.95% service fee, so you do not pay it twice. The 20% deposit we ask for before bidding is a separate payment. It is refunded only if we do not win the car; once we win it, it is not refundable.
The more specific you are, the faster this goes. Model, variant, transmission, year range, colour, acceptable mileage, deal-breakers. Then your total budget, landed in New Zealand.
We send you our service agreement to read and sign, and confirm your service fee in writing. Nothing is bid on until both are done.
Timelines vary, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise: Japanese auction and export processing, freight schedules, New Zealand compliance and any unexpected repair work all move the date.
