If you provide personal information, it is held by us indefinitely. We do not sell, publish or give away any customer contact information or personal details of any kind to other parties.
At our sole discretion, we reserve the right to disclose information to law enforcement or other government officials if it is demanded in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us to legal liability.

We'll only use personal information provided to us for the purpose of:

We may collect statistical information about your visit to help us improve this website. This information is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally. It may include:

Cookies
This website generates session cookies for the purpose of monitoring website usage. Most of these cookies don't identify you personally. The advertising cookies described below are the exception. You can disable or clear cookies in your web browser without affecting your ability to use the website.
Where you came from
When you first arrive, we record how you got here: the advertising campaign or website that referred you, and the page you landed on. It is stored in a cookie on your device for up to six months and, if you later send us an enquiry or list a car with us, it is saved alongside that enquiry. So unlike the general statistics above, this one is linked to you.
We use it for one thing: to work out which of our advertising actually leads to people buying cars, which we can only know weeks later when a sale completes. It is kept to our own systems and is not sent to Meta or any other advertiser, and it records only where you arrived from, never the contents of the page you were on. The switch below turns it off, along with the Meta advertising measurement described next. The general website statistics further up are separate and are not covered by it.
Advertising and measurement
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and we use the Meta pixel to understand which of those ads lead to genuine enquiries and sales. The pixel sets cookies in your browser and reports the pages you view and the actions you take on this website, such as sending an enquiry or paying a deposit.
When you submit a form or make a payment, our server also reports that action to Meta directly. So that Meta can tell whether you are someone who saw one of our ads, the details you gave us are converted into an irreversible code before they are sent. Meta receives that code, not the details themselves. What is coded and sent: your name, email address and phone number, and on a payment, the city, region, postcode and country from your billing address. Your street address, the contents of your enquiry, and any vehicle documentation are never sent. Alongside that we send your IP address and browser user agent, which are not coded.
Meta uses this information to measure our advertising and to show our ads to people who have visited this website or who resemble our customers. Their handling of it is covered by the Meta Privacy Policy.
Opting out
Blocking cookies or using your browser's tracking protection stops the pixel in your browser, but it does not stop the reports our server sends. Use the switch below to stop both, and to stop the where-you-came-from record described above. Switching it off also clears any such record already held on this device. It takes effect immediately, and it doesn't affect your ability to use this website, buy from us, or contact us.
It also covers a payment you had already started before switching it off. In rare circumstances we may not be able to reach one, and the switch will tell you so at the time. If that happens, email hello@importify.co.nz and we'll deal with it by hand.

Google Maps content
Parts of this website display content from Google Maps — the customer reviews panel reads our Google Business Profile through Google's Places API. Your use of that content is subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. The reviews shown in that panel are a selection of five-star reviews left on our own Google listing, kept with the website itself rather than fetched from Google as you browse. Each one credits its author and links back to the original review on Google Maps.
